··· Piedmont Installation

What's so important about the installation; don't you just change out a piece of equipment and "plug it in"?
This is a commonly asked question and nothing could be farther from the truth. The Comfort system you choose, is one of the biggest investments you'll make in your home. Without proper installation, the equipment won't be able to give you the comfort and efficiency you expected, and paid for. For example a new 13 SEER air conditioner may only operate at a 7 or 8 SEER level due to improper sizing and/or installation.

Respect

We believe that the installation process begins and ends with respect for our customer. From respect of how valuable our customer's time is, by arriving promptly and completing the project in a timely fashion, to respecting the idea that this is a big investment for the customer, and if they have questions about the installation process we'll stop what we're doing and answer their questions. We respect the trust customers place in us by allowing us into their home. That is why we protect flooring and furnishings during the installation and clean-up the job-site upon completion. Courteous, neat, friendly, these are adjectives we've received from customers describing our technicians and we believe it all begins with respect.

Piedmont Installation Difference

Many times you'll hear that a piece of equipment is installed per Code. Codes are very important because they insure that the equipment is operating safely for the homeowner, but "code" does not address the issues of efficiency or comfort. At Piedmont, our technicians use "code" as a starting point, not as an ending. Our installation process ensures that all the manufacturer's specifications are met and that the equipment is operating at peak performance levels. The technicians pay attention to the small details that are often missed such as; duct connections sealed to prevent air leakage, piping properly strapped and supported and transitions made at the correct angle to ensure necessary airflow and easy maintenance access.

Homeowners Checklist

When the installation process is complete the customer training begins. The installation technician walks the customer through the entire installation showing them proper equipment operation and maintenance, location of important switches or valves, and answering any question the customer may have. If all interested parties are not available at the completion of the installation, or if questions arise after we have left, we gladly return at a later date to continue the training.

Piedmont Craftsman Warranty

At Piedmont we believe the installation process is so important that we warrant our work. All equipment comes with a manufacturer's warranty, but that only covers what they made. It doesn't cover any of the piping, wire, circuit breakers, duct work and other material that is used to install the equipment. That is why we have the Piedmont Craftsmanship Warranty. This warranty covers all the material we use to install the comfort equipment and all the duct connections, solder joints, and drain connections we make during the installation process. If these items fail, or break, or leak, we will replace them at no charge.

HELPFUL HINTS
Saving Energy!
• Consider purchasing a Programmable thermostat. It can cut your utility costs by 9 to 30%.

• By using a central humidifier during the heating season, not only will you be more comfortable but you can lower your thermostat by 2 degrees and feel just as warm while saving money on your heating costs.

• If your heating and air conditioning system is over 12 years old, consider replacement. Newer units are much more efficient. They also come with better warranties so no expensive repair bills to worry about.
